Hi guys,
this my own opinion I think tpn+ is good if you have plenty of plants,by that I mean a jungle,
I have been using it for 18mths with no algae issues at all,but as most of you know my tank is an absolute jungle
regards john.
Hi all,i used to use dry powders but i now use tpn+,easy carbo, and tpn,and get this dosage,
tpn+ 7mls 5 days,15mls easy carbo 5 days,tpn 10mls 5 days,6th day rest,7th water change and start again,i realise its costly but it suits me, regards john.
Hi mark,
i am not saying it isnt easy what i am saying is i find liquid ferts less hassle if i am away working and someone else is dosing for me,
regards john.
Sam,
i agree with graeme on this one i found ei too time consuming so i went back to liquid ferts for ease of use,( i work all sorts of weird hours so i find liquid ferts suits me better).
Now i dose exactly what it says on the tin with the odd tweak here and there and my setup looks great,(dan...
Hi Tom,
plants look in excellent condition, testement to good ei,
can ask what return pipes are those, and can you direct them were you want,
regards john.
Hi Darren,
personally i wouldnt waste your money on a uv for a planted setup,
as long as you have all the right nutrients, and 25 to 30 ppm of co2,
95% planted from the start you shouldnt have too many algae issues,
regards john.
Hi
most liquid ferts dont contain n & p to my knowledge,i think tropica plus contains all the usual nutrients plus N & P,
hence the name tropica plus.
regards John
HI
as of yet i havent noticed any change, but as i said in my original post my tap water is loaded with N and P so the rest of the plants may be getting enough, but like anything in this planted hobby it takes time to see the results of any change,it may be that i might have to add some N just...
Hi All,
Last weekend Dan and i made a trip to Aquajardin nr glos, whilst we were there we had a very interesting conversation with Edward (store mgr)who gave me some rotala rotundifolia cuttings some four months earlier,i mentioned to him that it grows very well but i cant seem to get the nice...
Hi Guys, good work and all that but i think i will just buy a bottle TPN +  regards john ps (that ceg geezer is some sort of einstein  )
Hi Sam,just a word of warning Sam,you should not add hot water to your tank straight from the tap because it contains total disolved solids (tds)and this would be harmful to your fish, regards john.
I change 50g each week and at this time of year i just add boiled water to the tank along with...
Hi All,i have been using the easycarbo for about two months now and the results are really good, the one real thing i have noticed is the leaves look really polished, regards john
Hi All,i have been thinking of trying Easy carbo, firstly i would like to know the pros and cons of using it when i allready dose 4 bps of co2,will it improve plant growth much? algae in my setup is minimal apart from the odd spot of green spot algae, any recommendations will appreciated, regards john.
