You obviously mean the 16mm ID 22 OD hose?

I think the hoses on the 305 are 17mm, so hopefully the 12/16mm should be ok. Can someone confirm this please, or should I get the 16/22mm? :?

Just seen this thread as I'm thinking of changing the pipes on my 305 too. I've had a look at the AE intake/outlet fittings, but would I need this hose...

Well i've got a Koralia 2 in my 260 litre tank, but i have two filters one at either end too :D

My Koralia 2 is positioned half way down the right hand side with the Co2 diffusor right underneath it :D Blows that Co2 all over the place 8)

Definately worth investing in a Koralia pump John, I've recently added a Koralia 2 to my setup to move the Co2 more effectively, and it has made a marked difference to the flow all around the tank.

I'm the same as the rest, haven't changed the media in my present external filter in the 2 years that i've had it, just rinse it in the bucket at water change time. :wink:

Had my Fluval 205 underneath my Rio 180 for about 18 months now, with absolutely no problems at all. Would definately recommend. :D

I have a Fluval 205 on my 40g setup, it's been running for about a year now with no problems at all, and i particularly like the aquastop feature. I'm getting a 105 for my 20g setup too. :D

KH of 28+, wow that is high, i've seen posts on here and elsewhere referring to a KH of 7 as hard water, so i saw mine and thought the worst.

Just tested the water straight out of my tap, and it has a KH of 15, and a GH of 19, HELP :cry: Do you think i have a good case to go down the RO route :?: Or is there another way to soften the water, without major expense :?:

Actually after making some enquiries, a friend of mine has got a reverse osmosis unit for sale, so i will be trying that. Basically i am trying to make the Co2 input more effective for my plants. I am still learning about the relationship between KH, Ph, and Co2, so please excuse any ideas or...

What can i put in my Fluval 205 external filter to help to soften the water to reduce the KH :?:

My Rio 180 has a central brace, so i assume they all do.

I've got a Rio 180, which is filtered by a Fluval 205. It's a great filter, very easy to maintain, the aquastop valve makes it very simple. It's been running for about a year now with no problems, so fingers crossed. :lol:
