My water for the tank comes from the bath which is fed off the coldwater tank in the loft therefore it has an air break already. Correct me if I'm wrong please!
This is not potable water that is meant for drinking anyway so surely there is no need for a non return valve on my changer hose in...
If you want to remove the braces altogether you probably shouldn't fill it more than half full afterwards. The braces aren't just there to stop the front and back bowing they are there to stop pressure being forced onto the end silicon seams to stop them peeling open. It's very hard to push out...
Cheers, yes that explains alot. I've had a £1 bid on a couple of Draper digi timers for the last week which finished tonight. They are narrower than the ones I have already so I hope they fit side by side on my 4 gang lead. If I hadn't won these I may have gone for this.
All of us must be guilty of not reading the full post at times, I know I am at times.
I did see a few sets of 0.001g increment scales but they only went up to 20g max weight and I don't think I need to be that accurate anyway.
I dislike using a teaspoon even though it may be accurate enough for ferts. I want the extra accuracy for the 4dkh even though that probably won't be spot on it should be close enough not to make a big difference.
The set of dosing spoons I've seen that combine 1/32, 1/16 and 1/8 teaspoon are...
Just looking at the many dfferent types on fleabay so I'll be able to weigh out dry powders when I get them. There are quite a few different makes and models. I'd like to get one accurate to 0.01g instead of the more common accuracy of 0.1g I think so I can make my own 4dkh.
So which ones do...
Not pointless at all. You're the first one in the thread to answer my question on the check valve specifically. I'll stick the plastic one I have near the reg and just have the counter on the tank side I think. I'll do a bit of testing with the glass valve when I get it and see if it holds up.
Well I just ordered one anyway and we'll see how it goes. I don't mind refilling it if needed now and again, I just don't want to have to be shoving my head in the cabinet every couple of days to check the bubbles.
I also ordered a couple of his 3.5cm ceramic diffusers too just for the hell of...
Hey Simon, that check valve should be before the bubble counter mate so that water can't get back to the regulator.
How do you find the counter though? Any good?
I've got one similar to that already, came with the kit from Lunapet. I want to replace it with something inline that'll look good at tank level rather than hiding in the cabinet.
I understand that you'll loose water from any counter as the gas going through it will take away very minute...
Are these any good? They seem a little on the cheap side.

These are more expensive but look like exactly the same thing.

Do the check valve of this type actually work well? I'm...
