    6dkh solution.

30 mg/l NaHCO3 equals 1 DKH. So DKH 6 is 180 milligrams per liter of DC-solution. I make my own DC-solution (KH 3.2) and to make measurements more easy I do it in 2 steps. First make 100 ml with 100 times stronger hardness, take 1 ml of that solution and add 99 ml water. if you use...

    Latest ph Profiles

In water with low CO2 the pH will also show large fluctuations. if you half the CO2 the pH will rise (roughly) 0.3 A difference of a few ppm CO2 can make a serious pH difference at low/natural CO2-levels.

    CO2 Tablets?

off course you should not let kids play with them, let alone stick them in their mouths, But as said by ian_m it is a combination of citric acid and a bicarbonate, and so is baking powder. Their will probably be also some filler in their to make the tablets dissolve slower. Their is no loss...

    Liquid Bio Carbon

Plants can uptake carbon in other forms then CO2, how much depends on the form, plant species and age, amounts, other circumstances etc: Adding a little sugar to the water is known to increase growth considerably but in some species more then others. Test with CMC (cattle manure compost)...

    Liquid Bio Carbon

Glutaraldehyde can not help plants grow better, it just can't. It can make your tank look a bit better in two ways: in a full dosing it will kill/reduce algae, ( in lower doses it might stimulate algae) and second: it will lower plant growth and thereby their need for nutrients, in other words...

using two smaller CO2 sets on big tank

in most cases the limiting factor whit CO2 dosing is the diffuser, the amount of CO2 they can dissolve into the water is limited. so if you want to dose more CO2 (because of a larger tank) you need a larger diffuser, and blow more CO2 trough it. off course you need to refill your CO2 canister...
