    Rock Identification Help

    What about coal? It's quite a lot shinier than those rocks though, and I doubt you'd find the white veins. Those are some nice looking rocks!

    I've got to say, I really like that tank! What size is it? What about some Cryptocorynes, they would be ideal for a low-tech tank. You could maybe use something like Cryptocoryne Lucens or Parva for around the stones, and maybe Cryptocoryne Wendttii brown for the back? Check out TGM...

    breaking up dragon stone, how?

    I tried throwing mine, but I ended up breaking stuff in my parents garage, rather than the rock. So I reverted to a hammer - I covered it with a carrier bag so that all the pieces stayed in the carrier bag rather than flying off everywhere (and probably breaking more stuff! lol).

    My most recent tank is a 60w x 60d x 37h cm - lush! It's definately the easiest tank I've ever scaped. It has huge potential for emergent plants or hardscape. I think it's quite restrictive on stem plants though-they would look a bit strange due to the lack of height, and they do tend to grow...

    This may sound crazy, but I sometimes cut a cardboard box to size, cut the front off and then do my scape inside that. It allows me to get the dimensions about right. I think the rock formation you've got looks great though. And the planting plans sounds good to me.

    Just thought I'd mention that The Trading Post have stocked some more redmoor (although the good pieces just might have been snapped up by a certain someone :D )
