    Not a great start...

Just tried to get the solenoid off again, and its just not budging. To be honest it looks like its glued around the joint. Maybe because its an all in one azoo and they dont want people messing with it. The guy hasnt got back to me yet but it is midnight in China :| I've got a bad feeling he...

    Not a great start...

Wouldn't that just completely kill off the plants? I cant imagine the hc lasting very long without light, especially considering none of the plants have had time to establish themselves yet? Lol james, thanks, but I don't think anything can actually go wrong with the wood... touch..wood?

    Not a great start...

I've done low tech before. But the hi-tech was working fine, until the solenoid decided to break. Hc was just starting to root and spread, hardly any algae, was doing well. But now i have no co2 it's gonna be hard to keep everything alive until i get a replacement. I can't get the solenoid off...

To cut a long story short, here is was has gone wrong so far. - bought a koralia off ebay, arrives broken, seller refuses to admit it was broken even though there was a repair to it. Makes a rattling noise, claimed money back...

How the **** do I get co2 tubing off

The language was meant only as a joke. I've got it off now, the same way i put it on, with a hairdryer. Its a bit of a pain having to do this everytime i need to top up the bubble counter though :eh:

    Jewellers rouge to remove scratches?

Well the tank im trying to do isn't very scratched. The guy who owned it before my siliconed dividers in to keep bettas, and when this was removed it left a few vertical knife scratches. They're not very deep so i'm hoping it'll work. I'll have a look for your post now, cheers. Anyone else had...

    Jewellers rouge to remove scratches?

I'm just wondering if anyone has actaully done this, ever? I've read many articles on the internet, and apparently it works (but takes hours) There are pictures to prove it, and apparently it doesn't send the glass cloudy and wont make a funny magnifying effect as long as you dont stay on a...

    Which Koralia?

What do you recommend for placement then? I've got my spray bar along the back of the tank, facing directly fowards blowing against the front. And the Intake is in the rear right corner. I was going to place the koralia in the rear left, pointing towards the front right, but i was thinking that...

    Which Koralia?

Okay i won a 6 month old Koralia 2 for £26 delivered. Saving £6 on a new one. Hopefully it'll provide enough flow. I can always sell it and get a Koralia 3 if it's not up to the job but i'm sure 16x turnover is sufficient. Cheers everyone.

    Which Koralia?

    Best place to buy wood

Cheers, I saw them but theyre a tad to expensive for what I want. I've just ordered some nice Manzi from saintly! 4 pieces for the price TGM want for one!

    Which Koralia?

Are you sure? 3200l/h is an awful lot of flow! I hate nothing more than plants being blown around and coming loose. What about slow swimmers, won't these get blown around? I'll see if i can get this 2 for £27, if not then i'll chose between a new 2 or 3.

    Which Koralia?

Okay thanks guys. I'm watching a koralia 2 on ebay at the moment. If i can get it for less than £27 i'll get that. If i lose i'll just get a new one for £32. Should I look out for used ones? Do they wear out easily?

    Which Koralia?

I have a 180 litres tank which is going to be high-tec planted. I have a Tetratec ex700 providing 700l/h flow. Im buying a koralia for extra flow and im just wondering which is the best deal: Koralia 2 (2300l/h) - £32 delivered Koralia 3 (3200l/h) £36.25 delivered Koralia Evo 2800 (2800l/h)...

    Best place to buy wood

Hey, I'm just wondering where the best place to buy wood for my new aquascape? I dont really want the usual bogwood, i'd like some mopani or something along those lines. I live in Birmingham, so anywhere close would be great, or even any websites which deliver! Thanks, Andy

    Which regulator?

Cheers for that. I've contacted him so i'll see if he gets back. What kinda price would this go for new? Or is it part of a set? I was just thinking whether i should haggle the price down or not. If hes had it for a month and still got it, i've probably got room to haggle.

    Which regulator?

Thank you for the advice guys. I'm not too worried about the FE cost, because i don't like the look of them anyway. And it wont be that much cheaper, its only £20 anyway? I am really on a budget which is why i was trying to keep the cost of the regulator down but i guess i'll need a solenoid...
