Not to be one to disagree but i am a big fan of Lava rock and use it within my pleco setup. The Plecs love it and use it as a feeding ground as it regularly traps small food particles on its surface and also the algae grows well on the rock. I keep a variety of plecs including L46's...
My only comment is that rocks don't work as well as dividers, I used dividers and then let the plants grow for a few weeks b4 adding livestock. It's easy enough to make the dividers
:lol: well people........obviously sandy beach type scapes are not the way forward !!! :lol:
Doesn't matter now, as i have been busy and created a new scape anyway!

Looking for some inspiration around a sandy beach type scape, anyone care to share any good scapes they have seen? I am currently in the planning stage for a new scape.

My intial response and there are far more qualified people on stone placement, but my comment would be that your rocks will easily get lost under your plants. My suggestion would be that you maybe need a couple of bigger stones to work with your smaller stones.

Looks great, already posted my tank up there! Really like the look and feel of the site and how it asks you to detail all the individual items rather me trying to remember what to put up!
One possible suggestion, what about the ability to link a video of your tank in? There are some...
