    evening Not to be one to disagree but i am a big fan of Lava rock and use it within my pleco setup. The Plecs love it and use it as a feeding ground as it regularly traps small food particles on its surface and also the algae grows well on the rock. I keep a variety of plecs including L46's...

    My only comment is that rocks don't work as well as dividers, I used dividers and then let the plants grow for a few weeks b4 adding livestock. It's easy enough to make the dividers

    My intial response and there are far more qualified people on stone placement, but my comment would be that your rocks will easily get lost under your plants. My suggestion would be that you maybe need a couple of bigger stones to work with your smaller stones. LIke the wood, would look good...
