I make my own. Just add 30 mg of baking soda to 250 ml of either distilled or mili-Q water (both are fine). I have access to a precision scale in the lab so it's quite straitforward. I would probably buy some otherwise. cheers, GM

Hi, I do not know about these kits. What I know is that it is very unlikely that a 20g bottle will last 2 months even on a 30 litre tank. I use a 500g bottle on my 10 littre tank at 1.5 bps and it lasts for 4-5 months. Hope this helps, GM

Hi, the colour of the DC is going to depend on the reference solution you use. If 4kh, then yes you'd know that you have > 30 ppm. It may be either 40 or 100 pmm though. However, do remember that it's not only CO2 that leads to changes in pH. So you cannot rely on changes in pH on its own to...
