You'll need to consider the size of the tank you're running and how you're going to deliver the co2 into the tank. You don't say what size, but a paintball bottle won't last long on a 260l tank. Bio is lower pressure so can limit your delivery methods.
In my humble opinion it doesn't "kill" the BBA/GSA, but getting everything correct (lights, flow, co2 etc) means your plants out compete it. So with maintenance algae is eventually removed.
I have to agree with Ceg's first post. If you have external filters you are best to use the in line diffusers. They give a much better distribution in a large tank. My 260 is not far off yours in volume and I had a lots of issues using the in-tank diffusers, no matter what I tried with spray...
Hi Victor, are you sure you understood the answer? The in-line attaches to the out hose from your filter and adds the CO2 in a fine mist into the tank. Better than the option you have just shown as you'll get better CO2 levels and distribution than the larger bubbles pumped into your filter...
I'm sure your right LD :meh: But time was was also an issue so 50% water changes also had to go. Still, back into it now so fingers crossed (plants in the post :) ).
The misting is not ideal and I find that getting the correct dosage difficult on my 260l tank.
I stopped using CO2 in the 260 set-up, partly due to not having enough time and partly due to BBA issues. (no problems with the nano 35l). Now I've got things back to normal and I've got rid of the...
Whinnie, I did say I may be wrong. I've had a bit more of a look and it does say that this fitting is designed for the UK market - so yes I would think sussex_cichlids is correct. If in doubt why not double check with the seller.
I maybe wrong but......It doesn't look like the correct reg to me. If you want one to fit a FE you will need a Din fitting like this one..

You can get converters from one fitting to another but you need a reg for vapour withdrawl, not...
Hi,
Does anyone have any idea how good this is? I'd be using it externally on a Tetratec 1200 for a 260L tank. Just wondering if it's any better than the glass diffuser I'm currently using and if anyone has any experience this product.
If not, has anyone got any recommendations for other...
"5 large clown loaches "....you may find that large Clown loaches and plants don't mix, that was certinly my experience. I'm sure that someone out there will disagee?
(It would be nice for someone to disagee cos I loved my Clowns as much as they loved up rooting and eating my plants).
