The bubbles are more likely just attaching to the already existing surface film as opposed to creating it.
Surface agitation will get rid of it though.
Well I won't ever be using a glass one again, I can tell you that. The huge V shape scar on my thumb says not too.
This is basically what I have, although I'm not actually using it right now.
