    Spraybars, inline CO2 and distribution

I'm curious as to your reasoning behind having two filters, are they both going to be full of media, or are you laving one empty purely for flow? It might be an idea to have just the one filter, and concentrate on getting the right flow in the tank using a pump. As you said it is going to be an...

    Spraybars, inline CO2 and distribution

If you were having two spray bars then they are going to be roughly 15 inches each, where as if you run a spray bar for the co2/heat. With a lilly pipe on the other external you will get a better distribution of co2 due to the whole length spray bar. BTW I have a tank that size and the...

I've got the MP10 which is the smaller version but more than ample flow for my tank with 200 to 1575 gph. I liked the fact it was ever variable instead of having to stick with a fixed flow set by manufacturers like koralia. But unlike koralia, with flow increase there is no size increase of...

    Filter Recommendations, Please.

I have two Aquaone cf1200's and if they are anything to go buy then he build quality is exceptional hasn't leaked in the 3 years that I have had it. Mine is quieter than any of the Eheims I've had in the past but only have them to compare with. When one of the taps got a bit stiff, i rang them...

    Bottom drilled tank, help needed...

BTW, after having a further read of the threat you posted, this chap is using them in combination with flexible return pipe for a closed loop system minimising pumps in the tank and he has plumbed a compression fitting in there for his co2 diffusion. The principle would still be the same for you...

    Bottom drilled tank, help needed...

TMC stand for tropical marine centre they are a large importer of marine products and fish just type tmc in on google. Most marine shops deal with them and would be able to source it for you. On the suction side a simple wipe over would do the job as the filter would collect this and be removed...

    Bottom drilled tank, help needed...

TMC do a bulkhead strainer (bottom item): The usual way of drilling a tank would be to have a weir and then a sump underneath, but if you are connecting strait to an external filter then the above could work quite well.

No, no adjustment, it has such a wide flow it doesn't need to be directed, it seems a very "gentle" flow even at full whack in terms of it turns the water volume over but not pounding everything.

As above "The pump works by creating alternating electromagnetic currents through coils which transfer through the glass to the rotor on the other side of the glass." :)

Having kept tropical and marine tanks for a few years, I always came back to a common problem, flow. I either couldn't get it all around the tank, or enough of it, when i did it involved large, obscure pumps. I have been thinking of my options for more flow in my planted tank, considering a...
