    Brown Hair Algae\Diatoms?

Hmm, it's a 3 month old eheim 2213 - I stripped the tank bare (except for the filter media) to get rid of this but back it comes! :( What do you think about no light? I have a 11w PC over it (30l), EI dosing plus high Co2 (drop checker almost yellow). Lighting is 6 hours a day at the moment...

    Brown Hair Algae\Diatoms?

    BBA and liquid carbon

I've managed to make a dent in the BBA on my slower growing plants by not adjusting the Co2 for a few weeks (so it's stable), Doing water changes well before the lights come on (stable Co2), double dosing easycarbo and removing infested leaves.

    blackout?

Hi Paul, I think you have answered your own question there; not adding nutrients early on caused the plants to use what was available then stall. The decaying leaves will be releasing ammonia back into the water feeding your various algae blooms. If your algae situation is really bad I would...
