    shallow\slim aquariums?

Flow shouldn't be a problem, it's only 14l (12 us gal) - I'll be using it for a very minimal scape of mostly HC.

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

I'll call them tomorrow - If it's just the clip then I'll pass. George mentioned it to me at the Aquatics Live show yesterday, he said something about the balast cannot hang on the side like it does? (I assume it's not waterpoof) All the other manufactures seem to stick a transformer plug on or...

I have a low power (atom mini-itx) server running in the cupboard also, found a 15 metre USB extension on eBay that works great!

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

I've got 6 of these and they all have the same issue, hole for the wire is large allowing objects to be sucked in, bypassing the sponge. PFK have started giving the Coopet nano for subscribing - I hope they have fixed the issue on newer versions!

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

We are in the minority by quite a large margin, most owners will see no reason to replace the filter wondering why they are losing live stock. Low quality is not the issue, killing fish/shrimp consistently and needlessly is.

You wouldn’t buy a cheap vacuum cleaner and accept the fact it has sucked up your cats and dogs!

    Seneye USB parameter sensor

Just asked them if they could add Co2, even if it's just using KH and pH, an early warning system for overdosing on Co2 would be useful for us lot!

    Seneye USB parameter sensor

£99 for the 'reef' version, not bad for PAR, LUX and Kelvin meter along with free ammonia monitoring, pH monitoring, water level, general light, and temperature monitoring. They have a home and pond version which I expect to be less. I'll be getting one so expect a write up :)

    cheap filter media?

I was thinking about asking the local Pets @ Home if they can order in plants, I mean they all stock Tropica so must be a massive customer? It's a Fluval 1200 - 323 litres: Powered by 4 x 39W T5s, FE Co2, EI dosing, Fluval FX5 + external heater and Koralia 4.

    cheap filter media?

I thought I was the only one here! haha I spread myself between Maidenhead aquatics (St Albans) and the Koi Co. Although both don't really do decent plants\aquascape stuff so I head online for most stuff.

It's some old thing from Ikia - was going to take it to the dump! The glass is excellent, very clear compared to my other float glass aquariums. I spent a whole Saturday driving to 4 P@H to collect all 6

    Sound Proofing Cabinet

Has anyone attempted to reduce the noise from an external filter housed in a cabinet? I have a Fluval FX5 that's almost silent when outside of the cabinet but creates a loud hum when inside. Placing the filter on a towel makes a small difference but I think the enclosure is amplifying, the hum...
