I wish I had read this before. I was looking at Juwel Lido 120 versus Fluval 125 Roma which has LED. I got the Roma because the Juwel I fancied had a much longer delivery time. Anyway, now I have the Roma, how do I upgrade the lighting?
I want to ask the same question as James. I have bought a Roma 125 which comes with an LED LIGHTING UNIT. I have no idea how many lumens it produces nor if that is suitable for good growth in a planted tank. Does anyone know?

I have just upgraded my community tank to a 200 litre All ponds solutions tank which has 3 x 39 w lights, one described as "red" for plant growth and two white. The switching gives you a chance to have one two or three on. This is more light than Im used to, I was previously on T8s. I dont...
The tank is around 6 ft away from double patio doors. It does get some light, but not direct sunlight as the aspect is northerly.
I will actually miss seeing the fish if its only a 6 hour photoperiod. I am home all day and sit next to the tank. I suppose I could turn the tank lights on...

It has been suggested on the plants forum that certain of my low light plants may be suffering from too much light. I was surprised as I thought my lighting was quite basic, but I am taking a low tech approach (I think!).
I have an 18w T8 tube...
