Looking good! I was interested to see this, because I'm about to overhaul my small tank (similar dimensions), and I've also just bought the same filter. I couldn't see a heater on your list of equipment, though; have you added one to your filter?

The genus is Eleocharis, but there are lots of species. I've used E. acicularis, which doesn't seem to grow too tall.

I'd certainly give hairgrass a go - it grows well in my nano, and that's without CO2. Cut it short when you plant it.

Nice tank - you should be able to do a lot with that. What substrate are you using? Are you planning to have any carpeting plants?
