UKAPS @ The Green Machine '08 - Photo Journal

Great pictures George, thanks  Echoing Gareth's comments, I'm sorry I didn't get to see any of Graeme's tanks in the flesh!

    Visiting The Green Machine.

It seems my car is empty now except for me, so if anybody in the Birmingham area wants a lift, let me know. Not staying over up there though.

    Visiting The Green Machine.

Since the demo starts at 11am, I think I'd need to leave Birmingham at around 9.30 at the latest so would aim to leave really at 9.15am. I'll be driving back home the same day, but I don't think I can really make plans until we're there - I guess it will be a 'see how we go' judgement. If...

Perfect! Would be nice to see your work in the flesh (the tanks that is, not the Zoo  )

    Visiting The Green Machine.

I think to make plans we'd need to know when to meet (presumably at the Green Machine?), when the demonstration is due to take place and what else is planned for the day (or the Blue Planet thing a Sunday jobbie?). I'm up for a day trip (Sat) only.

    Visiting The Green Machine.

Hi Garuf, Tom & Lisa - sorry to have put a spanner in the works by saying I wasn't staying over. Please let me know if this causes a problem and if you're making other arrangements. Lisa, if you need a bed on the Friday, we have a guest room but just be aware that I do have two dogs (my last...

    Visiting The Green Machine.

Umm, in all honesty I hadn't considered staying over  with no disrespect intended, I doubt my OH would be happy at the prospect of me staying with people I've never met before.

    Visiting The Green Machine.

Gotta say Tom, I hadn't thought about when to leave here or anything (typical woman, I leave the details to others  ). I don't think it's even been sorted when we are due to meet at the Green Machine, as I suppose it would depend on that and when the demonstration is (unless I've missed...

Cool - looking forward to it. I'm sure we can work out the details nearer the time.

    Visiting The Green Machine.

No problem. I do warn you, I'm an ickle bit of a nervous driver, but it will be good to have company (and a map-reader or two  ) Hubby still reckons we're doing something then, but weve wracked our brains - we're not on holiday and my exam's not til about 14th, so should be fine for...

If you can get to Brum, you can join me and Tom?

    Visiting The Green Machine.

I'm still down as a provisional yes for the 5th, and looking forward to it. Hopefully, I'll be meeting Tom in Brum to drive up together, but if anybody else wants to come that way I don't mind doing it. If the date changes to much later I might be in doubt, as I have an exam around 14th so...

    Visiting The Green Machine.

Only 76 miles for me - if the date is right and I'm feeling especially brave, I may make the trip myself. If I do, I'll be coming from Brum so don't mind giving lifts if anybody is near me - will confirm when the date is sorted.

Meeting with Unipac and Director Roy Devani.

Thanks for the pics Dan. I obtained the following Unipac goods from my local lfs (Ripples) They did beautiful bits of Redmoor wood too *sigh*

    Sooooo when the next event??

I hear Wildwoods is in administration so you may want to speed up your trip in case it actually closes...

Meeting with Unipac and Director Roy Devani.

That's precisely the point I was trying to make - one contact asking for something that can be posted online (ie for lots of people to see) to give an idea of who stocks this stuff! I certainly wasn't asking for a contact number so that it can be posted publicly for every Tom, blahblahblahblah or Harry to...

Meeting with Unipac and Director Roy Devani.

Do we have any contact details for Unipac that we can ask them for an Adobe or similar scanned version of the catelogue to post on here? I know that Ripples in Shenstones nr Lichfield stocks Unipac stuff, since the sand and wood I used for my little tank are Unipac branded and I suspect that...

    SUPREME FESTIVAL OF FISHKEEPING

Are there any other large fishy events that you plan to roll out the stand/displays at? Considering the apparent success of this year's stand, will there be a larger one considered for next year?

    SUPREME FESTIVAL OF FISHKEEPING

Funny you should say that - a member of another forum I frequent said just that - the UKAPS stand was the highlight of the show. They were pretty disappointed with the rest, but liked the stand and the presentation. Thought you might like to hear the feedback from somebody not involved with UKAPS.

    SUPREME FESTIVAL OF FISHKEEPING

You guys are amazing - what YOU have acheived over this last while since you started UKAPS is truly impressive, culminating with this Festival of Fishkeeping appearance. Well done to one and all. I wish I could have been there myself, but I have an exam tomorrow morning so it was never going...
