ADA said years ago that quartz could be found in their soil. I would not worry about it.

Yeah it can be good or bad and that's difficult to prove without proper tools and effort. And it happens to almost every tank if not all. Because of that, I just ignore it as long as there is nothing bad happens.

I also have the problem. In my case, I can't reduce the current nor redirect it. So I let it shift the substrate until the slope is steep enough that the gravity prevents any more shifting.
In another word, I have done nothing.
From Oliver Knott's info about his NatureSoil, this kind of substrate doesn't look like being recycled.
