DIY overtank luminaires?

I've always looked at over tank luminaires and thought their pretty expensive for what they are (around £250 for a 90cm!.. e.g. http://www.marineaquatics.co.uk/ATI-Sun ... T5-Pendant).

I have a spare Juwel vission light unit and some T5 control units.. Seems like a good idea and could work out quite well..

I was wondering if anyone knows of any threads or has any experience with constructing a DIY set-up as it could be a good project?

I will dig out all my links as I was planning a DIY ati luminaire. If your ok with a bit of soldering and electrics you can build some pretty cool fixtures. I was looking into using t5HO dimmable ballasts and I was going to use tombstone bulb fittings. Then it would have just been a case for building the stainless steal case. Anyway I'll hunt for my links.
