Fluval G Series

You can buy the media but not the filter anymore on the UK site. In terms of filtration I'm sure they work very well and I really like the idea of being able to change the filters without opening the whole thing but they always seemed to me to be an expensive solution in search of a problem.

They've been discontinued for a while. I contacted Fluval some time ago to see if they were planning to develop a successor - they said they had no plans to do so (not that they would necessarily give me any insights into their R&D anyway).
