Hi guys,
I'm Joost, 21 years old and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm a civil engineering student, approximately half a year away from my bachelor's degree. I'm into the aquarium hobby for about a year now. Aquascapes have fascinated me since the moment I started this hobby. I've mostly been lurking on this website, as well as other websites such as the barr report and planted tank.net. I've managed to learn a lot about aquarium light, substrate, co2, fertilization (EI), flow and so forth thanks to these three websites as well as other websites (articles etc.).
Anyway, I think that's enough for now. Here's my set up:
specifications
60 x 30 x 30 cm
ada aqua soil
pressurized co, 2kg, +-3 bubbles per second, yellow drop checker
in-tank bazooka diffuser 55 mm
2x Par 30 LED unit, 21 W per unit, 7 LED's per unit, 90 degree spread (I dimmed them to +- 50%, however)
2x IKEA tertial desk lamp
EI fertilization
SunSun HW-302b, spraybar
in-tank heater
fish
10x norman's lampeye
2x otocinclus
Taken with a galaxy s2 so don't expect good quality
I'm thinking of doing a new scape soon. Perhaps with a more professional 'look'.
Edit: plant list
- hemianthus callitrichoides;
- blyxa japonica var. japonica;
- Hydrocotyle tripartita sp. Japan.
The aquascape is 2 months old.
