HELP. DIY LED Hood ?

Hello I have been looking around at these

And I would like to build my own hood. But I need to ask some questions
1. How would I wire the LEDs up and also how would I power them ?
2. How many would I need to light a 90cm long aquarium
3. Should I use any colour in conjunction with white. Maybe blue or red.
4. Will "Pure white" be to intense for my aquarium. should I opt for warm white ?
