Kept a traditional tropical fish tank growing up (70s and early 80s) and now 40 years later decided to keep a small tank again. Things have moved on lol. What I ended up doing was a ‘subtropical low-tech nano planted tank’. It’s kept at 22.5 deg C so only a degree or so above ambient room temp most of the year but also informs the livestock. I learned as I went a long so it’s not ‘full Walstad’ for instance but might evolve that way. It’s about 15 months old now.
