Is my lighting sufficient

I'd already ordered solufeed 2,1,4 on the advice of someone else in this site, would that have the same effect as the tropica specialised.
That is really the problem I have, it isn't whether the product works or not.

@Mark12345 was already using Tropica Premium so in explaining that Premium was lacking N/P it was an obvious seque into suggesting Specialized. I am using Specialized myself and it works very well and its engineered by a company that knows a thing or two about growing aquatic plants - to me that keel means something regardless of the fact that it may cost them 50 cents to make a 750 ml bottle and sell it at 40 USD, not even @Happi have been able to clone the product 100% in terms of the chelates they use. - I wasn't attempting to splurge our friends money - I leave that to Oase :lol:

Anyway, back to the cost of admission on the worlds most expensive water (I think that prize goes to my wife's perfume btw.):
Currently, I target 1 ppm N every two weeks in one of my low-tech 150 L tanks. Thats 12 ml. That makes a 750 ml bottle @ 40 USD last over two years - call me a splurge (I am not) but to me thats really not a consideration in the grand scheme of things. Now, if @Mark12345 targets 1 ppm N weekly in a 300 liter tanks thats 24 ml weekly or 7 months per 750 ml bottle... That of course, makes the case for an alternative slightly more compelling.

In any event, I am sure Solufeed is an excellent choice, I just haven't used it (I am not even sure you can even buy it in the US, @Happi ?).

Cheers,
Michael

Exactly the same, but <"a lot cheaper">.
I do not agree it's being the same or superior than the Tropica. But I can agree that the Solufeed would be lot cheaper to get the job done, but may not perform to the same level as Tropica.

Nope never seen it here in the USA.

@Mark12345
I believe your algae issues are related to low consumption of nutrients by the plants and buildup of nutrients coming/leaching from soil/substrate, water is also rich in nutrients, decent fish load, liquid fertilizer. Your water is farily rich in nutrients if you combine all these together. Are you or any fish disturbing the substrate very often?

You said you are washing the filter very often? How exactly are you washing it? With Tap water?

If you were to dose Solufeed under the current situation, it's not going to solve the algae issue and might actually make it worse. I do not see any problem using the Tropica Premium during this time. I wouldn't wash the filter very often, I would try to add some co2 to increase the plant growth, add some floating plants. High Plant mass usually help with reducing the algae by removing excess nutrients.

My algae issue has much improved (thanks to all the advice) with the exception of the algae on the moss which seems to refuse to give up, but on the whole I’m much happier. My other issue is that floating plants are continually dying off. this isn’t an issue in my smaller tank where it seems to be reproducing at an alarming rate, could the cause possibly be down to the fact that it is being pushed all around my larger tank, and if so is there a floating plant which could cope with the movement.
Thanks
