Red plants

Question is what do we think of being a low tech tank? Is it a tank with relatively low light or tank with no artificially added Co2? Or both?

If it's a tank with low light and no CO2 then @Mattant1994 ludwigias are very good and undemanding choice.
If you have high light but no added CO2 then the dam opens to much more variety of species - this is what I've kept in low tech with very strong light and with no problems at all - assuming ferts demands were met:
Ludwigia Sphaerocarpa , Blyxa Japonica, Althernanthera reineckii , Ludwigia repens, Rotala Indica, Rotala Wallichii, Rotala Macrandra, Ludwigia Arcuata, Proserpinaca Palustris, Persicaria Sao Paolo, Limnophila Aromatica, Ludwigia Inclinata, Phyllanthus Fluitans (not a stem one but beautiful) and quite more as a sort of experiment. They need much higher levels of Potassium then usually and much lower levels of Nitrogen to reach their true beauty. And lots of light.

I recommend Ludwigia sp. Red has become a popular plant in recent years. It is the reddest plant that can be grow well in non CO2 injected tanks and it one of the easiest red plants to grow well.
