SPP Excuse my ignorance.

Hi, as a newbie to aquascaping and planted tanks when looking at plants I often see "plant name" followed by "spp", for instance Anubias spp.

Could someone tell me what the "spp" means?

I assumed it was the plural of specie (sp) meaning more than one species (spp) or in Latin species pluralis.

I could be wrong. Any botanists in the house @dw1305
