Lost in the depths of aliexpress, I came across this gadget. I think it might be useful as another CO2 reactor type but there's not much discussion about using it in an aquarium setting. Any thoughts on efficiency compared to a Rex Grigg or Cerges type reactor?

I would say pretty poor considering the diameter unless you are using a very slow flow. Even then it looks to me that the internal impeller would forcefully move CO2 from one end to the other which is not something you would want. IMO, using this static mixer as a CO2 reactor would probably be even less efficient that using a standard inline diffuser.
