I'm trying to find them and see (maybe try) if it can be used above open top tanks etc.
Maybe there are known aqaurium plants vining in its emersed form? I know creeping Jenny, Pennywort but these do not vine without helping them to, they rather creep and hang. Realy looking for winding and vining up..

Till now i found
Persicaria arifolia (True wetland)
Buttefly pea

The last one i had long time ago 10 years, it still was rather unknown in europe as cultivar back then and i got my seeds from a friend from thailand. Couldn't realy get it to grow in our climate outside a greenhous. Probably because of getting seeds of a true wild tropical generation. Now i see it getting more popular and seeds are commonly available in the trade now.. It grows everywhere from dry sandy soils to riparian. 🙂

Do you know of any??

I think i found one that is particularly interesting.. :woot: And i found it growing on the pavement and it imediately caught my eye.

Oxalis corniculata var. atropurpurea 🙂 aka Sleeping Beauty..

It's origine is not exactly known, alledgedly it comes from subtropical southern Europe. By now it as a cosmopolitin found all over the world. It grows about everywhere, as epiphyte on trees, as litophyte on rocks and walls, in wetlands, forests, cities, junges etc.. So next to the beauty of this little creeper it is a evergreen perineal in (sub)tropical condition. And what makes this plant particularly intersting is it's small size and wooden rootstock and branches, it just is a little tiny shrub. And there for it simply can be Bonsaied into shape with leading and trimming it along it's way. And it realy doesn't mind wet or dry, almost like yu can't do much wrong with it..

Beautifull intruiging olivegreen to purple colored clover shaped leaf, little yellow flowers, very easy to grow from wet to dry.. Overall a stunning under appreciated little plant.. Did put a small piece of it on my emesed driftwood it sits there for 2 weeks now and it realy seems to like it.. During the day it spreads it's leaves to catch light and in the evening it goes to rest and folds them in.

I led the rootstock along side the damp wood with its tip in the water..

The idea is, to let it grow and creep, trim it and lead it like a bonsai over that naked branch of the wood all the way to the top.

 I think this is another mission accomplished, finding what i was searching for. Tho never expected to find it about on my own doorstep.. 🙄
