Water lettuce ban

Hi all ,
So does anyone here know if it's true that the UK plans to ban water lettuce sales ? Seen one post on a maidenhead aquatics but when I searched it up on Google all I got was the eu plans to ban the sale of them not the UK if anyone could clear this up would be amazing as I would hate to be selling it and breaking the law

It's going to be banned next month. (But only in Northern Ireland)

It appears you might be right as I've not seen or heard anything else about it anywhere online

So after looking into it a bit more the ban only applies to Europe 🇪🇺 and Northern Ireland 🇮🇪 and not anywhere in England and Scotland thankfully

Water lettuce grows obnoxiously fast in my tanks and pond so should it ever be banned for sale I will be able to create a very lucrative black market.
