Hi all, I have just set up a planted aquarium. 8 ft 1800liters +5 ft sump. it is an ex-marine tank So I have the use of some wave makers. I was wondering if a planted aquarium would benefit Using wave makers or is it unnecessary due to too much water movement! They are programmable so can be set very slow.
Thanks

Surface agitation is a good thing. More oxygen.

I’d put them 4” below the surface with a slight upward inclination. Get some surface movement.

I forgot to mention i have twin return pump either end off the tank that provide good surface agitation,
