Little update as posted above, fell out with the Helferi it keep uprooting, So changed it for Enchlonorus Tenellius, Not sure I will use cat litter again, sand was so much easier, also algea is beating me at the moment,

View from my office Update, Have a slight algea problem in one small area, think it is Blanket weed, I am really struggling getting the Helferi to root in the substrate, going to perceiver for another 2 weeks, then may change it for something else, Otherwise all the others seem to have...

My Rio 125 didn't come with a brace, Could try euro bracing, But I believe the brace on these tank's is easily removed, it just pulled off on my brothers tank, he has had his running for about 2 years with it removed,

Thanks Martin, At the start I was going to do 10% as I was worried about the shrimp , but now i do 50% changes,

Years ago I had a tank with rainbow fish and harlequins & Cory's, water changes used to be matched to 26 degree's, one day the heater failed n the tank temp dropped to 21, Lost all the rainbow fish and harlequins, Since then I do cool not cold water changes, I think the fish get used to it...

Shrimp tank, never apart from water changes once a week, discus tank, fertilisers every morning, replant any new plants which have popped out, Feeding in the evening, Then twice weekly water changes, wipedown, n trim plants, This is when I am tank happy,
