Hi all,
Got gifted a pleco from someone closing down there aquarium seeing if anyone can identify what type it is also size.

I’m thinking it’s a common pleco but not sure 🤔
The person I got it off said it could be a bristlenose pleco

i don't know much about plecos, but that's not a bristlenose . how big is it?, and if you know, how old is it?

It may be a rubber lip pleco. Doesn’t have the characteristics of a common from that photo, could you get one with fins raised ?

I’m not sure the age of the pleco as didn’t think to ask tbo and I was thinking it was a female bristlenose pleco as there’s no signs of the bristle’s

And I would say around the 4/5” in size

I can try to take photos once the fine are fully open but maybe some time as she/he comes out now and then to graze on left over food (he/she) doesn’t seem to be fazed when I’m about either wile cleaning or looking in the aquarium always at the front doing something interesting haha

Hi I managed to get some more photos of her/him without spooking him/her away
