Corys and Cover

I am sure when I started out I specifically added some cave type cover for my Sterbai Corys but I am now not sure if they actually need this. I removed a large bit of driftwood yesterday which had a cave underneath where they would often sit.

There are loads of corys eggs on the glass tonight so I guess they are not too bothered.

Thoughts?
