Cutting Foams

Someone on here, I can’t remember which thread it was, rather cleverly suggested freezing foams before attempting to cut them.
In my case I wanted to cut two 20mm thick foams from a spare 50mm thick Biomaster foam. Freezing and then cutting on my Bandsaw worked perfectly! Thanks for the tip. ;)

You are welcome. Good work with the band saw, a very neat job.

For those without access to a bandsaw you can get similar results (but not quite as neat) with a large and very sharp non-serrated knife. Dampen the sponge before freezing. I tried serrated knives and hand saws but they did not work for me as the teeth snagged in the sponge.
