dosing pump and liquid carbon

I've been thinking about dosing liquid carbon and using a dosing pump to administer it. That got me thinking...Will the lc start breaking down in the dosing pump tubing? I thought it broke down when exposed to light? I may be completely wrong and hope I am as a dosing pump would be extremely convenient.

Hi, in the diy shop at the gardening section you can get some black opaque tubing that is a good replacement for the airline transparent tubing.

Turns out fluval do black airline so have ordered that along with a dosing pump.
