What do you think this is on my java fern looks like a new leaf with roots spreading from it, it has appeared on a couple of leaves pretty sure its not how ferns cultivate is it a deficiency? or has something just attached itself to the leaf

This way it's faster, don't worry and let the new plants grow a little bit more before cutting the old leaves 🙂
