Fish with growths

My goldfish has two large growths which have got even larger .He's had them in some form or another for a few years now. He's 15 and I'm thinking there's not much I can do - he's not particularly active, eats a little and is always the first to suffer when the oxygen levels in the pond are not great.

I can't really see clearly enough from the photo but from what you describe I would say it's some sort of tumour.
Sounds like he may be stating to suffer now and perhaps it might be kindest to euthanize
I'm no expert though so might be worth trying to see if there is a fish vet near you so you could get a proper diagnosis.
