I know people have done this with Monte carlo but has there been any success doing this with dwarf baby tears or can I only grow in the substrate?

In this context I'm talking about growing them on lava rocks underwater instead of above water.

Pretty sure I've seen it done, but it'll be more demanding than Monte Carlo to get similar results

Of course you can grow them in rocks and even in driftwood as long you have the correct lighting and water condition.
I grow them outside of the tank so they can grow faster and when they are ready I bring them in side the tank
