slow and steady nothing gone wrong either thankfully!

looking to add 6-8 dwarf neon rainbows next weekend

considering replacing the rotala sp green with another echinodorus species?

staurogyne grows really well even after hacking away at it, last trim was 3 days ago

does anyone know what type of algae this is?

just picked it off without any troubles and seems to be the only bit so far

Looking good. Try lowering your drop checker or place it lower in an area farthest away from filter outlet / lower flow area if you haven't tried it already. You may get a different reading.

Maybe wrong but on my phone it looks like your diffuser is directly below drop checker and wave maker?

Personally I'd put it other side by the wood towards the back about 3" from the bottom and see if it changes.:)

yep the co2 diffuser is directly below the powerhead, my thinking is that the co2 stays in the water longer as it gets pushed around? or have I just completely misunderstood this..

it's quite visible the co2 bubbles that haven't dissolved are flying all around the tank

in terms of the drop checker, this might sound bad but I've started to ignore it a little, since xmas ive gradually reduced the co2 level cus I was getting through 3/4 canisters a month (only 88grams) now I can get through a month on 2.

Bar that tiny bit of hair algae I haven't had any other issues and growth still slow and steady which is perfect for me

long term I will upgrade to a fire extinguisher co2 set up but realistically not till summer, it it ain't broke an all that

in search of somewhere that sells pretty big crypts like the Tropica mother plants. as I want to replace the rotala at the back, any recommendations?

cheers all
