My lights blew up!

Right, water got into my hood, and killed my ballast with a lovely 'Pop' sound.

Hood has now been resealed and I'm awaiting my new ballast to arrive.

As my tank is now dark, I have stopped CO2 and stopped EI dosing.

Is this the right thing to do?

I'm hoping that I will have a new ballast by Thursday!

Which would of been the case 8 days ago! But i stripped the tank down and started over.
Received new ballast today, installed so should be good to go again now
