Plants yellowing, thinning, going brown and BBA?

Hello hoping someone could help and give advice? - I'm having a problems with my plants and i'm starting to get Black beard algae creep in. (BBA completely destroyed my old tank & plants)

Plants are going yellow, completely thinning like a skeleton and going brown at the ends.
I use Tropica special nutrition & Flourish Excel (along with root tabs every few months)
80L tank at 25 degrees
Nitrates on the high side at 20ppm
Lights on 6 hours a day (Any higher and bba goes crazy)

Any ideas on what I can do to help? Thank you!

Fish are all thriving
2 Blue Rams
13 neon tetra
3 Xray tetra
Nerite Snail
1 Corydora
1 Amano Shrimp
