Yeah its a shame, even my lfs has noticed a massive reduction in salty sales but the freshwater has improved alot, i just wish he would do more on the planted side of things.Even between hobbyist they’re all out to make a few quid.

My area lacks a decent freshwater shop too, and by that I mean a place where I can buy healthy plants and quality equipment.Yeah its a shame, even my lfs has noticed a massive reduction in salty sales but the freshwater has improved alot, i just wish he would do more on the planted side of things.
You look like you might have some iron (Fe) availability issues, if the new growth on the stems (Rotala spp.?, in the middle of the third image), is really as pale as it looks in the photo?anything really then please comment
So it's been a couple of years, and with ill health and other things, my tank got seriously neglected, lost alot of fish and became just a tank of algae.
I have started again, took everything out except sand, cleaned everything i could and the tank.
I have a doser which I dose Easy Life Profito, 12ml per day, (as I've got loads of it), when its gone I will use Tropica Specialised, again, I have loads of it, then I will start mixing my own.
Seachem Excel 10 ml per day
Fish health 9 ml per day.
I have 3 Radion XR15 G5 Freshwater lights running at 25%, 10am-5pm.
2 Oase 850 thermo filters (probably overkill)
Nero 5 Pump to add water circulation set low.
Thats it for equipment.
Plants I have got are,
Echinodorus Bleheri, Parviflorus, Rose, Palifolius andTricolor
Limnophilia Aromatica 'Green' and Hippuridoides
Rotala Bossii and Wallichii
Lilaeopsis Novea-Zealandia
Microsorum Pteropus and 'Windelov'
Pogostem Helferi
Cardamine Lyrata
Hygrophila Lancea, Angustifolia Rubra, and Siamensis
Anubias Barteri Nana
Taxiphyllum Barbieri and Flame Moss
Myriophyllum Mattogrossense
Ludwigia Palustris Super Red
Hottonia Palustris
Some Vallis and Crypts which I got off a member on here.

Any suggestions or plants not quite right, anything really then please comment, constructive criticism is better than praise,
They are Albino Torpedo Barbs. What are those cool large red and white racing striped fish? 😎😍
Rich substrate, or clay root balls, such as JBL 7+13 balls.Never had any success with the Tiger lotus so thought I would give it one last try as it's a beautiful plant, so any advice, tips and tricks on how to keep them then let me know.
I ordered some Dennerle Plant Care Basic Root as I have an inert sand substrate, so that should help.Rich substrate, or clay root balls, such as JBL 7+13 balls.
Have you tried the lagenandra before? I have a couple which were beautiful shades of red, silver and green then they got covered in GSA (along with Anubias) and I’ve been frustrated with it ever since. I keep cutting off the infected growth and hope the new leaves won’t get the algae too. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏻Ordered some more plants from Aquarium Gardens which should be here Wednesday,
Anubias Nana
Staurogyne Repens
Silvinia Minima
Lagenandra Meeboldii Red
Tiger Lotus Zenkeri

No, first time, I just liked the look of it and have a spot for it, it's got 2 options.Have you tried the lagenandra before? I think my GSA was because I knocked the CO2 regulator and while I didn’t notice the drop in CO2, opportunistic algae took hold. It’s slowly going away (I think) now I’ve lowered my light a wee bit and although it’s appearing on new leaves, there’s less of it.No, first time, I just liked the look of it and have a spot for it, it's got 2 options.
