mmm salicylic acid is for all intents and purposes aspirin(derived from the bark of a tree),if it is proven to be a good algae remover i'd just desolve a few in water and bung it in the tank and not bother paying silly money for a proprietary brand.
i know the plant looked great when i first purchased it now the leaves are mahoosive and could'nt hold up if i took one from the tank and tried to keep it as a sort of house plant misting etc.
plan on buying a new optiwhite 80x35x45 tank, some second hand florabase substrate and some Dragon Stone for a new scape :) but its not payday.. lol

thats just cheating
my first 2kg fe lasted for aproximately 3 months using a ladder diffuser and now i'm using an inline at 4 bps i'm only getting a month out of them,i've checked for leaks at 1 bar pressure and found nothing is this normal? i'm just about to order my 4th  .
with the end of the month aproaching what do we have planned for our tanks come pay day?.
me i plan on replacing a lot of my substrate, doing a rescape using a lovely peice of wood that would'nt sink and adding a few new inhabitants....may even start a journal. :D
will give this a try cos i'd have loved the one in my tank to have retained its original form.as much as i like them submerged they look a lot better when i first purchaced the parent plant.
