Youre going to need flourish nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium due to your use of excel, which will drive plant growth.
Without n.p.k, your plants will start to suffer from nutrient deficiencies.
Plants take a few days to settle and start rooting, you don't want to bombard them with light during the first weeks- that's a recipe for algae and poor nutrition.
That's a very long photoperiod.
Too long for a new setup.
Suggest cutting down to 6 - 8 hours. Especially if your ferts don't contain n.p.k, because the eco complete does not have any of the 3 most important nutrients for green plants.
Hastatus are easily identified by the tail marking and lack of horizontal stripe.
I have no idea what they can be confused with.
But that's because I only research the fish I like- beyond pygmy corys , I'm clueless
I doubt ceg tests.
If he did, I doubt your home test kit would be sympatico.
Stop measuring with the test kit, use your eyes and experience gained so far and add full ei dosage.
So you don't have to plant through the mesh?
The roots find their own way?
Tank looks excellent.
Loving the clean space on the left against the wood and plants on the right.
Asymmetry works.
^^ thanks Tom.
So you run a filter in the sane manner as a normal tank? I get males dancing at the girls at about 150 tds, I have been reluctant to soften any further than 90 tds. It twists my melon man.
indeed, they hybridise in the wild so there is overlap in populations. I've never heard of cpds In inle, but definitely erythromicron In the surrounding water ways .

Most fish can be trained.
I always gently tap on the glass when feeding. My boraras immediately go to the surface. Do the same with the goldies and koi in the pond. Its a 20 year habit.
oooooh Yes.
Tom, another must follow journal.
These paros are in danger of becoming irresistible. I assume there is a lot of fuss about type locations and pure species?
some lovely pictures of yours on seriously fish , tom
Just reading about P. Alfredi , its pretty depressing something so beautiful is about to be wiped out.
its not screwing around - water changed are essential! :woot:
A bucket, add dechlorinator, fill up with water- its best not to use freezing water, and away you go.
Anything going wrong with plants at this stage will be co2 related. As I have found,- knowing the path and walking the path are two different things. . Getting flow spot on is the issue.
Of course mate. Give em time to settle.
Funny thing is, my local has a batch of cpds, and their colouring is remarkable considering their temporary lfs housing. Im gonna grab some. Never seen any looking so colourful at a shop before. All the best with your new additions chap.
