Long overdue update. As you guys may know i moved states *again*, since then have not been v active on forums. Been making a 75g custom dutch style, with custom mock ADA stand which has been taking up my spare time. Hopefully one day i can start a journal here again :) Until then, enjoy these pics.

No submersed leaves, i had the 40b high tech and it was new bulbs and the lily i had in there (later became invasive so killed it) was throwing emersed leaves nicely.

That is truly strange! i would have thought the opposite, currently im using my good trusty T5HO 6 bulb custom bulb fixture that gives out (with new bulbs over 200 par we assume, its very high light) bulbs are needing to be replaced but they arent to old yet, i dont think it'd be that dim...

As the title says, does anyone have experience growing, Echinodorus 'Small bear' and Echinodorus 'Yellow Sun'? i recently purchased a few of (both) these and am looking for more info on them since there seems to be so little... Pictures also would be nice to see. :)

i laughed when i read this, due to how ironic it is to my situation: over the years i have scaped, the only scapes i succeeded in doing relatively well with beautiful thriving plantings were in acidic/soft water! i think it is funny that you are dealing with the opposite, having a hard water...

Test kit: api master kit cleaning it with a good wash of only water then letting it air dry on a rack. Isnt expired, kit is relatively new since i replaced the old one i had finally.

With the way you designed the hardscape layout, which is Very dramatic... There is no Middle, its 0-100 real quick in terms of dramatic height. I would use this to your advantage, and do a red/yellow/orange foreground to the leftmost of the scape, if not the entire front excluding the middle...

if its one thing i will never buy in this hobby ever again its a inline diffuser absolutely hate those things. Currently running a Atomic inline co2 diffuser from GLA. Bubble rate is uncountable lol its very high, my drop checker is yellow.

No, i add substrate to my tank pretty frequently. Its like' 5" thick now lol. I gotta re do the tank one of these days. Anyway, i dont think you'll have an issue. I know the substrate i have added is inert but i have also added Dirt before and had no issues. So yea i think you'll be fine.

If your dosing at all why bother adding the ferts then removing them with wc? just a big waste. In any scape i create personally- i always do 50% wc a week. And stick to it from day one, so the tank reaches this equilibrium better eventually. Just my own thing.
