Moved the red stem plant when I did water change today :)

Hey Ady thanks. I know what you mean about the red stem plant, I felt like the tank needed a red plant but wasn't sure where to put it. I will have a look and see if I can fit it in more central. Thanks for the comments though mate gives me something to think about.

I've ordered some of the sealant see if that works better then the tape. It is a horizontal outlet yes and I had to turn it so it's vertical

Here's a pic of the regulator with the bubble counter. You can see the white tape I used between the solenoid and the needle valve. It might not be leaking and I will check but feels like it is and making a sound.

Hey people Just installed my co2 from co2 art. Think it's leaking just after the solenoid as I have had to turn the needle valve abit so its upright for the bubble counter to work. I have tried using gas sealing tape but still doesn't seem to work. Wondering if I should get another bubble...

Tank seems to be doing well. Added the last of the fish today. I have got the equipment to add CO2 to the tank aswell just need to set it up. Done a video just need to work out how to show it.

I might just try them and if they don't last long at all and cost a fortune I can just take the adaptor off and try something else :) You guys got any pics of your set ups with these on please?

Would you say these would last long on my lido 120 tank? Looking at co2 but don't want a massive bottle and not finding many local places to me for FE.

I've added a few fish :) Started to get a little hair algae on the higher plants, so I have took the reflectors off and lowered the light timing to 7 hours. Hopefully this will help :)

Thanks for the post mate. I don't want a massive bottle hoping for one that will fit in my cabinet. I might just keep going low tech but would consider co2 if its not to much hassle and expensive. Is the rest of the equipment good in these kits?

Lowered the TDS of the tank to about 150 will lower it abit more I think. Plants look abit happier, I've also moved a rock out to make room for a savu pod for the apistos to use as a cave.

Thanks Tim. I will get a pair of apistogramma cacatuoides. Think I will take the rock out on the right hand side of the tank and put a 1/2 coconut or some kind of den for the cichlids.

Thinking the 1000 pump will be abit to powerful for the fish when I add them. So might change it to a 600 (you get a 500 pump instead of a 600 now). Getting the TDS of the tank water down now aswell :) aiming for 100-125 TDS for dwarf cichlids.

It wouldnt kill all of them but would limit the numbers and effect the proformance of the filter for sure.

Very nice set up there mate. Love the wood and you seem to have a right mix of fish there

Would be a bad idea for a few reasons. you would get a build up of co2 in your filter which could damage it and also you would kill the bacteria and then have a build up of ammonia and nitrite.

I have got alot of stuff from them all ready. I had a look on there and couldnt find the 4dkh water, also which drop checker should I get as they are loads of different 1s. I have read that alot of people use the jbl 1s I have also seen a few other 1s on ebay.

I think a drop checker works off the effect the trapped air has on the test liquid so hopefully the ph of the water in the tank wont effect it. Wheres best place 2 get one from which are good but not real expensive
