Yeah, my tank size is 125l, Filter is 1500lph, I also have an up-inline diffuser. I just foudn that the shorter spray bar, the smaller diameter bar and exit holes made more of an effect than having a longer bar that had both a larger diameter and slightly large exit holes (if that makes sense)

I purchased some Amano shrimps recently, I didn't really pay much attention to the ones that had been selected by the LFS. I placed them in the tank and while maintaining the plants I found this little bugger. Why is it so blue? Is it an Amano?

I have a JBL e1500 now after looking at all the usual suspects. So far so good. I have just added an UP inline CO2 diffuser and will get a hydor inline heater at a later date. Build quality is good (the spray bar is a little on the flimsy side) and it is very quiet, just a feint humming sound...

It is a difficult question to answer without knowing what you want to achieve or what your expectations are. Each of those tanks are great fish aquariums in standard guise. However when it comes to a planted aquarium each one has its limitations and may well become challenging without upgrading...

They are but mere ripples! Though when I fired it up above the water level I got sprayed in the face! It appears to be a great filter, from what I have researched paying the extra £40 over the tetratec ex1200 was a good idea.

Power heads, internal filter all removed, now running a JBL Cristal Profi e1500. Spray bar extender and UP inline CO2 diffuser arriving tuesday. Nice amount of surface disturbance, water is certainly circulating throughout the tank now!

I swapped my lights over for some T5 Arcadia Plant Pro's. There is a noticeable bias towards the green spectrum. All of the plants now have that lush and rich green colour now. :thumbup:

I thinking about ripping out my Juwel internal filter and replacing it with a JBL e1500. On the specifications it says "in- and outlet: 16/22 mm" what does this mean? My interpretation is that the inlet has a diameter of 16mm while the output is 22mm? If this is the case then I am assuming it...

Jesus, this aquascaping is right ball ache :) So I can fashion some ghetto spray bar that can be attached to one of the power heads, or maybe move the 650 just below the 600 and have two?

I have 125 litre tank (juwel rio) and I am running pressurised CO2. Currently I have the powerheads set up as follows, the CO2 bubbles get sucked into the 200LH power head. The 650LH one is at the rear of the tank in the corner and pointed at an angle downwards. Would it be better like this?

Is the CO2 just coming out of that green tubing near the surface? Do you have anyway of producing smaller bubbles and placing it at the bottom of the tank to maximise the contact with the water? Can you move the heater into a more vertical postion at the rear of the tank on the left?
