Thanks Sam, I think I will go down the FE route as it proves more economical and there is a local refiller. I am just looking into different places I could get an FE from. Also looking into which regulators and solenoid to buy. I am a little worried about buying ones from abroad in case things...

Sam I don't think that is mad at all.........just a necessity lol I've never seen an opti-white tank in the flesh (or should that be in the glass) but I ordered a 4ft tank with an opti-white front glass to arrive in the summer so I can't wait! Stickleback that is the kind of story I am thinking...

I was thinking of maybe getting four as I have some angels already. My tank is also 18" tall which should be fine unless they are truly massive fish. What angels are at the wembley store? Are they altums, scalare?

Well Jay if you are after some nice wild type angels then I think St Albans is the place to go for those but they are coming in small so you will have to grow them on. I will probably be going to get some when they are in so I can let you know if you want some, maybe if we bought them together...

Dan is right, you can use bamboo as long as the roots are in the water and the leaves are out (although it is not a marsh plant). The best bamboo to use are the ones found in ikea or florists (i.e. the individual thick stem variety in ikea for around 70-80p each). I have seen this done before...
