Hi george thanks for the reply. Yes it is the microhabitat 8 that I have unfortunately none of my local aquatics shops sell the tmc stuff so I may have to go for the fluval shrimp stratum unless I can persuade one of them to get some in for me. Also will it take longer for ammonia and...

Hope someone can help me out here I'm about to setup a tmc micro habitat for shrimp and I'm wondering what substrate to use. I've only ever used gravel in my tanks so not sure what to use I've been looking at akadama but not sure if I can just use it straight from the bag or if I need to treat...

Hi zlibrka the pump head has an intermittent fault where it will slow down then speed up on its own it only started doing this 2 days ago I thought there may have been something wrapped around the impeller but when I opened it there was nothing there so I guess there is a fault with the motor...

Ah right sorry I got confused mate but looking at the length of the tubes on lampspecs they are only 2mm shorter so they may and I stress MAY fit ok

It's not burnt out as the light comes on to show it's heating the water. I have a feeling that it may have been the previous owners fault as when I bought the tank (second hand) it had the juwel filter in the back corner but I removed this as I had an external filter I wanted to use instead...

Iquatics do make juwel compatable lamps and they are part of the 3-4-2 as well so not bad value I'd say

I use the iquatics tubes myself have done for a few months now I find them really good especially as they have the buy 2 get 1 free offer I just looked now and they have both the 54w variants in stock for tropical lamps. The other place you could try is is www.lampspecs.co.uk they have 54w tubes...
