Hello mate, The recommended turnover for flow is 10X tank capacity per hour so you would be looking at a 1250l/hr turnover, your filter is rated to this but you have to allow for a reduction due to the filter media, loss in the length and diameter of pipe work and the manufacturers over optimism...

It doesn't matter that it is not side entry, it will not affect the operation of the reg it just means that you will be reading the gauges on their side so no big deal.

I would mate, in the end it will work out cheaper using 2 or 5Kg extinguishers. I picked up a gauge for £10 (Ebay), a needle valve for 9 Euros (Lunapet) and I can source CO2 Extinguishers for a good price. Whereabouts are you?

My mistake, DIN477 is the old BS341. It is the extinguisher itself that conforms to the old BS477

Dunno if it helps but a standard british CO2 extinguisher has a thread that conforms to the German DIN477, that's the old British Standard BS477

What about using some kind of valve to restrict the flow on the flow or return, after all the flow control used when it is submerged is just a disc that you rotate to open or close the inlet, in effect restricting the flow at the pump?
