Just found them and was about to update this thread. I mistyped the seller’s nameat first and thought I’d missed the chance to grab some.
Got some now
Hi everyone.
I used to buy EI salts from aquariumplantfood.co.uk.
I just went to their site to get the ‘recipe’ I used to use and restock to find they have closed down.
Haven’t had to buy any for ages as I scaled back dosing when I moved my big tank to crypts and low light plants.
Where’s...
I have an old pint pot. Fill it with water from the tank, add the dry powders, give it a stir and pour it in.
I was going to premix a batch and dose so many mls per day until I realised how much easier it is to work with the dry powders on a daily basis for a 500l tank as it all works out to...
Am I right that your tank is about 180 gallons 5' x 2' x 30". Can see why you want to use dry ferts :)
Take a look at the link below. It looks easy enough to scale up and down. Not too sure how much powder you can dissolve in 500ml. Unless the solution is very strong 500ml isn't going to...
Not trepidation. Just lack of cash. The ferropol was free and I have it here. Don't have the cash to buy all dry ferts at once right now but fully intend to get them in a few weeks. Thought maybe I could start with the ones to supplement the ferropol and buy the rest later.
I'll get powders...
I'm currently using TPN+ but it isn't going to last long. My CO2 set came with two bottles of Ferropol. What dry ferts would I need to add to it to make it 'complete' like TPN+ as it doesn't contain phosphates and nitrates.
Will eventually go over to using dry ferts but am too skint at the...
Re: Any ideas on algae type? Do root tabs = copper?
Ok.. The algae has set in and my shrimps and snails have had to move out as they were dying fast. Do root tabs contain copper?
The algae: green spots all over the glass that are really hard to scrape off. The glass nearest the window is...
Thanks. I've just done another 25% Water change as the shrimps were climbing over one another at the waterline and snails were heading up too.
The tank gets some light from a window so I'm expecting that side to go green.
Do you think I should invest in a few bunches of extra cheap bunches...
Hi everyone
I have got home to find one of my 48l tanks is seriously
cloudy.. It seems DH mistook api root tabs for algae tabs even though both are clearly labelled and attempted to feed 4 root tabs to our baby bristlenose catfishes. The fish and shrimp seem unharmed so far but I guess my...
